At the recent IHCA AGM the IHCA Rules Committee presented a document to assist juries in awarding penalties for Class Rules Violations. The IHCA Council agreed to the IHCA Class Rule Penalty Policy.
The application of the of the policy is optional or you may continue to use the current wording which would be a disqualification not excludable for any breech of the class rules.
The appropriate wording to use the IHCA Class Rules Policy in a Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions may be:
The IHCA Class Rule Penalty Policy shall apply.
Including this wording would be at the beginning of each document in the RULES section.
